General Questions

What is Performance Collective and the ‘Performance Collective Reformer Pop-Up’?

Performance Collective is bringing you a Reformer Pilates Studio and Functional Fitness Gym in two purpose-built studios within the New Acres development. The full studio is expected to open in May 2025. Until then, we are running the ‘Performance Collective Reformer Pop-Up’ at The NEX, within the New Acres development.

What are your operating hours?

We currently host classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Please see our full schedule here.

Where are you located?

The brand new Performance Collective Reformer Pilates Pop-Up is located in the newest development Wandsworth has to offer. We provide the best small class Pilates instruction with 5 beds. Only a 5-minute walk from Wandsworth Town overground station, we are in The NEX, 17 Swandon Way, SW18 1EG.

Do you offer membership plans?

Currently, we are only offering class packs, with full memberships coming once the main studio opens in the Spring. If you’re a new client, we have a great intro offer of 3 classes for £49! Check out our class pack pricing here.

How do I book a class?

Our booking app is the best way to book classes. Download the WodBoard app for Apple or Android, or you can follow this link.

Do you provide water?

We have a tap for drinking water and encourage you to bring your own water bottle.

Is there parking/bike storage available?

There is no parking on site, but there are bike racks directly outside.

What should I do if I have any injury or medical condition?

Our Pilates teachers can modify and suggest movements to ensure you still get a great class. Just let them know 5 minutes before class starts so they can make the necessary adjustments.

What facilities do you have?

In the ‘Reformer Pop-Up,’ you will have access to toilets, but no showers at this time.

Classes and Training

What types of classes do you offer?

We currently offer a ‘Foundation Collective’ and an ‘Intermediate Collective.’ Full details of the class types are available here.

What Pilates beds and equipment do you have?

In the Pop-Up, we have 5 Align Pilates C8-Pro Pilates Reformers, each with an Extender, Exer-Soft ball, Pro Pilates Ring, and two sets of York dumbbells.

What is Reformer Pilates and how does it differ from other workouts?

Reformer Pilates uses the Reformer bed to provide a full-body workout that helps develop a strong core and tone various major muscle groups. It is often considered more dynamic and intense than mat work Pilates because most exercises are performed through greater ranges of motion and involve resistance from springs and bands. We offer two class types: Foundation and Intermediate.

Do you have classes for beginners?

Yes! Our ‘Beginner Collective’ is perfect whether this is your first-ever Pilates class, you’re recovering from injuries, or you’re a seasoned pro looking to refine your technique and focus on controlled movements.

Do I need any prior experience to join a Pilates class?

Not at all! Our amazing Pilates teachers will help you learn the basics of the Reformer beds and guide you through the classes step by step. We recommend 3-5 ‘Foundation Collective’ classes before progressing to the ‘Intermediate Collective’ classes. However, if you have high fitness and coordination, you may be able to progress sooner. Please speak to our Pilates teachers in class if you have any questions.

What should I wear to a Pilates class?

All our Reformer Pilates classes involve a lot of movement, so we recommend clothing that is not too tight but also not so loose that it catches on the bed. We also require everyone to wear Pilates Grip socks. No worries if you don’t have any; we stock a small selection of socks for sale on our WodBoard shop, or you can buy them in class.

Cancellation & Lateness

Can I freeze or cancel my membership?

We are currently only offering class packs, so these can’t be frozen or cancelled. However, the classes last for 8 weeks, so we hope you will be able to make the most of all of them.

What is the Class Cancellation policy?

You can cancel your class booking up to 12 hours before the class and keep your class credit. If you cancel within the 12-hour window before the class, you will lose your class credit.

What happens if I don’t show up?

If you don’t show up to a class you’re booked into, you will lose your class credit.

What if I’m late?

We know life can get in the way sometimes, so please try to turn up on time. We operate a 5-minute late policy; any later causes disruption for the rest of the class, so you will be unable to attend and will lose a class credit. If you arrive early, we have a waiting area for you to relax and get ready. Our teacher will open the doors to the studio 5 minutes before class starts.
